Located on a stunning, 200-acre peninsula in Winslow, Maine, Camp Caribou is a premier overnight summer camp for boys ages 7-15. Dedicated staff facilitates a comprehensive assortment of land and water sports, challenging adventure and wilderness opportunities, as well as creative and culinary arts.

About Camp Caribou

Led by the Lerman family for five decades, Camp Caribou provides staff members and campers alike with memorable summer experiences in a spacious lake peninsula setting. A veteran Camp Caribou staff member with an average age of 25 takes pride in emphasizing safety while organizing and managing diverse activities, from archery to water sports.

A core focus at the American Camp Association-accredited facility is on helping boys develop confidence and independence while expanding their knowledge and skills. With an emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork, the ethos is one of “winning with class and losing with class.”

Camp Caribou offers baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, and an archery range with 17 targets. Boys who enjoy golfing are encouraged to make use of a nine-hole chipping course and driving range.

Camp Caribou water activities take advantage of a fleet of utility outboards, ski boats, kayaks, canoes and more! Situated in a private cove, a slalom ski course that provides challenges for campers of all ages and skill levels complements the water-ski docks. Well-trained staff members work to ensure that even the most challenging camp activities offer a fun, productive experience at all times.
